Law Firm News

In late November of last year, I attended an Examination for Discovery in Edmonton Alberta. This related to a case of ours that involved a tragic transport truck collision that occurred in the North West Territories during winter driving conditions. It was necessary that my associate and I apply for membership under the Law Society of the North West Territories in order to be able to represent our client in that jurisdiction. We both received membership and are looking forward to representing our client there.

During the 4 1/2 hour flight to Edmonton for the Discovery, I was reminded of the vastness of our great country but at the same time how much we are alike – our laws, our lawyers and our people. It makes me proud to call myself a Canadian and that we can still assist our clients in matters so far away.
